The exhibition employed the entirety of the museum’s Villa Way Side and takes the show back through the artist’s career, from its beginning in the 1980s (where one would find the famous poster la Rué vers l’art or the Lapinture character) to the more recent works from his series “mon histoire de l’art” (“my art history”), which questions art and its legacy through a shifted perspective.
The show also featured his work on the “De-construction of the Image” (déchirures (tears), Atomisation, pixelisation, etc…), the series of “New Technologies” in which reality is juxtaposed alongside the virtual universe, and “Urban Pop” that celebrates the art of graffiti.
The exhibition traces the artistic universe of Speedy Graphito, which questions untiringly the concept of the image in a timeless space, where Snow White eats the Apple logo and Scrooge McDuck is a graffiti artist.
