Parallels (Set 2) by Thomas Canto

Thomas Canto was born in 1979 in France where he still lives and works. Much like many contemporary artists Canto draws very specifically from his personal urban environment, however his unique vision translates into something quite different. His work seems to represents the tension between order and chaos. Through the use of precise line work and complex geometries, Thomas Canto has created a particularly acute perception of the world around him. Take a look at the artist’s new series of hand painted screen prints now available on FreeWay Editions.

One Liners by Rero

“Creating work halfway between urban art and conceptual art, Rero questions the context of art as well as the codes that govern images and intellectual property with an acronym that regularly crops up in his pieces: WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get).  Appropriation and self-censorship — he strikes his slogans with a thick line — are key concepts in his exploration of image negation.” -Backlash Gallery

Rero currently has two hand painted screen print series that are a part of the Freeway Editions collection. Each series is a lovely synopsis of the artist’s wit and ability...

The Elegant Works of Gajin Fujita.

Gajin Fujita (born 1972) is a graffiti artist from East Los Angeles. Fujita has created a style that merges both his Japanese roots and his Los Angeles upbringing. The artist visually compares and contrasts imagery from varying cultures in order to truly communicate the crossover and divergences of each identity. Fujita is a member of LA graffiti crews K2S (Kill 2 Succeed) and KGB (Kids Gone Bad) and continues to live and work in Los Angeles.
