Rero in 2015

Freeway Editions has been talking about Rero's upcoming 2015 show in LA for sometime now. We finally had the chance to sit down and speak with the artist in November. His visit to Los Angeles was all about production and preparation for exhibition in the new year, however amongst this chaos Rero was kind enough to talk to us!  We were excited to speak about his artistic background and to hear about his new series of work. Zevs Liquidated Art

Zevs (born 1977) is an anonymous French street artist, best known for his trademark "liquidation" technique. He was an early and influential graffiti artist and active as a tagger in Paris in the 1990s. He is named after a regional train, Zeus, that almost ran him over one day he was down in the metro. Working with other French artists in the second half of the 1990s like Andre and Invader, Zevs has been among the prominent figures who pioneered the French street art scene.

Smash137's New Color

To round out this week Freeway Editions wanted to speak about Smash137’s new solo exhibition entitled “New Color”. The show is on exhibit at Galerie Neuheisel in Germany until January 21st. The title “Neue Fabre” or “New Color” comes from a story of childhood nostalgia, Adrian Falkner AKA Smash137, recalls trying to mix colors and make “a new color” with his brother as a child. On the Walls of Miami Beach

This past week Freeway Editions attended Art Basel Miami, a week of growing satellite fairs, pop-up shows, parties and live art performances that makes for the largest art fair event in the United States.
