Los Angeles is a city full of art, creatives, and endless opportunities for experiencing the arts so FreeWay Editions really enjoys being able to take advantage of those opportunities and share it with you, our readers! Last week we attended a great show at C.A.V.E. Gallery in the Abbott Kinney neighborhood of Venice Beach. All about CRASH

This week Freeway Editions is highlighting the work of John CRASH Matos. CRASH has been writing graffiti for over 30 years, but I guess that’s not surprising seeing as how he began bombing at the age of thirteen. Shortly after his teen years in train yards John Matos transitioned from the streets to galleries and thus a graffiti art career flourished. The Elegant Works of Gajin Fujita.

Gajin Fujita (born 1972) is a graffiti artist from East Los Angeles. Fujita has created a style that merges both his Japanese roots and his Los Angeles upbringing. The artist visually compares and contrasts imagery from varying cultures in order to truly communicate the crossover and divergences of each identity. Fujita is a member of LA graffiti crews K2S (Kill 2 Succeed) and KGB (Kids Gone Bad) and continues to live and work in Los Angeles.
