Printed Matter's LA
After surpassing last year's predicted attendance by more than 10,000 people, this year's Printed Matter's LA is going to be quite the event. Opening the same night as Art Los Angeles Contemporary, the Printed Matter’s LA Art Book Fair will bring together artists’ books, art catalogs, monographs, periodicals, and zines from all over the world presented by various publishers and booksellers. The LA Art Show begins this week in Downtown Los Angeles (January 14th-18th). The iconic art fair is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. Fidia Falaschetti was born in 1977 in Marche, Italy to a family of creatives and teachers. Fidia's fascination with art began in his early childhood, being surrounded by a family of creatives was truly inspiring and by the age of 16, Fidia was hired to produce wall paintings and illustrations for multiple stores...

This weekend marked Fidia Falaschetti's first solo exhibition in the United States. Freeway Editions was so excited to attend the opening reception of "POL-ETHICALLY CORRECT" and support one of our incredible artists! The show's artwork takes a detailed look at various social, political, and cultural relationships. From the pyramid of trash and books to the repurposed vintage blackboards taken directly from the artist's hometown elementary school, Fidia Falaschetti gets personal and leaves no issue untouched.
