Art for a Cause

Tilt aka a “Graffiti Fetishist”

Tilt is an internationally recognized traditional graffiti artist, originating from Toulouse in South France.  A self declared “graffiti fetishist”, he learned his trade in the streets and on trains as a teen.  In the time since he did his first tags on a skateboard ramp back in ’88, his ensuing career has been nourished and influenced by extensive travel.

Smash137, "Between the Lines"

Smash137 is and urban contemporary artist originally from Basel, Switzerland. His work is described as abstractions of urban calligraphy. “Sometimes in a simple gray with black outlines, other times enriched with vibrant and bubbly colors, or creating a three dimensionality through skillful shading.” Smash137 has a variety of styles and his artwork is always evolving. Artist of the Week, Thomas Canto and his Fine Lines.

Let's talk about Thomas Canto, FreeWay Editions' artist of the week. We hope to highlight some of Canto’s art and explain a bit more about how the artist works. Thomas Canto was born in 1979 in France where he still lives and works. Canto's work is incredibly architectural in nature.
