This week’s featured artist is Alexey Luka, a Moscow based visual artist whose intervention pieces recently caught our eye via GORGO. Luka studied architecture for 6 years and thus his forms are very structural in nature. They not only use architecture as a backdrop but somehow become apart of the integral structure of the building itself. It's been awhile since we have talked about one of our Freeway Editions artists, this week we are bringing it back to talk about Frenchman, Speedy Graphito. The artist has been in Los Angeles for the past couple of months working arduously on new work for his upcoming solo exhibition at Fabien Castanier Gallery. FEATURED ARTIST: Jan Kaláb
This week Freeway Editions is highlighting the work of Jan Kaláb. You might have recently seen his paintings and sculptures featured in the last edition of Graffiti Art Magazine. Despite working as an artist since the 90's, Kaláb's artwork has recently seen a surge of recognition, and rightfully so. His pieces have taken on an organic, vibrant form like no other. FEATURED ARTIST: THTF
Today Freeway Editions is focusing on the whimsy work of THTF, a street art duo from France.
These two young street artists met in 2008 while attending art school in France. After a few collaborative drawings and paintings, they decide to form the artistic duo now known as THTF in November of 2009. They began to create a signature style: simplistic large black & white characters the couple is known for today. These large, minimal, line pieces were created specifically to be wheat pasted throughout the streets in France but soon their cartoonish street art began...

This week Freeway Editions features French urban artist, PRO176. Pro's artwork can be seen on walls and in galleries worldwide. His signature explosive style is both precise and organic.
About the artist:
Pro176 was born July 26th 1976 in Paris and Grew up in Choisy-le-Roi, a small town in France's southern suburbs. He taught himself at a young age how to draw by copying the art of Jack Kirby, the famous American comic illustrator. American comic books quickly became his foundational inspiration and thus his love for art transpired.
