News — Artist of the Week

2015 has only just begun and Freeway Editions is excited to work with some new artists this year. To celebrate some of our favorite emerging and established urban artists we are using our Artist of the Week blog to talk about people we admire and have yet to feature.

This week we are giving our full attention to the work of Miss Van. She is a painter we have revered for a long time so we wanted to talk about her work, career, and evolution as an artist.

Freeway Editions has written about the work of Rimi Yang before but only specifically about her prints and small works. Although a talented print artist who straddles borders in contemporary art, Yang’s work is primarily done on canvas therefore today we focus on her talents as an oil painter.

Freeway Editions has been talking about Rero's upcoming 2015 show in LA for sometime now. We finally had the chance to sit down and speak with the artist in November.
