ART NEWS: Coney Island Art Walls

Freeway Editions has been following closely as Jeffery Deitch slowly unveils his latest street art project in NYC. The former MOCA director has found himself back in New York and supporting the street art scene once more. Coney Island Art Walls is a collaborative effort to bring together a large number of street artists from all over the world to paint walls throughout the amusement park community. ART NEWS: Newest Shepard Fairey Mural in Detroit, Signs of "Hope"

In collaboration with Library Street Art Collective, Shepard Fairey is taking on one of the largest wall murals he has ever produced — 185 feet tall (about 17 or 18 stories high) and 60 feet wide.

Fairey had the overall design mapped out and a few of the background elements in place when he began the official work along with the help of three assistants and a window-washing rig last Saturday. NEW PRINTS: RERO's newest HPM's

Today we bring you ALL NEW prints from RERO. We have been talking a lot about RERO on the blog as of late, because he is working on a number of new projects, it's hard to keep up! This new series of hand painted screen prints entitled "Untitled (ONE MUST ESCAPE...)",  were made here in Los Angeles in conjunction with his solo exhibition.
